To fill in RMV vehicle transfer forms (M.T.A. 6, M.T.A. 8, and M.T.A. 3), the app asks you to enter:
Earlier versions of this app filled your PDF entirely on your device. Starting with version 4.0, the information above is sent — encrypted in transit (HTTPS) — to a server we operate (hosted on Google Cloud / Firebase) whose only job is to fill your PDF form and check whether your subscription is active, then send the finished PDF back to your device.
We do not store the form details you send. The server does not save your name, address, NIC number, vehicle number, or any other field you type — it uses that information only for the moment it takes to generate your PDF, then discards it. We do not keep a copy of the generated PDF either; once it's sent back to your device, our server has no further copy of it.
Your finance company details you save in the app (name, address, administrative details) still live only on your device, the same as before — they're sent to the server as part of each request so your PDF can be filled, but they are not stored there either.
To enforce the free-generation limit and prevent abuse, our server keeps a small record per installation of the app: a randomly generated installation ID (not tied to your name, Google account, or any personal detail) and a count of how many forms you've generated. This record contains no information about what was actually in any form you filled — just an anonymous counter. It cannot be used to identify you or reconstruct any form you've generated.
If you choose to subscribe, payment itself is still processed entirely by Google Play Billing — the app and our server never see or store your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.), which Google handles directly under Google's own Privacy Policy.
To confirm a subscription is genuinely active, the app sends a Google-issued purchase token to our server, which checks it directly against Google's Play Developer API. This token identifies the purchase, not you personally, and is used only to verify your subscription status at the moment you generate a form.
To prevent misuse of our server by anything other than the genuine app, requests include a short-lived attestation token from Google Play's App Integrity service, confirming the request comes from an authentic, unmodified copy of this app. This token doesn't identify you personally — it verifies the app, not the user.
Once the server sends the completed PDF back to your device, it's saved or shared using Android's own file system and share features (for example, to Google Drive, WhatsApp, or your device's Files app) — based on where you choose to send it. Beyond generating it and sending it back to you, we do not upload, publish, or retain a copy of any generated PDF ourselves.
Starting with version 3.0, the app's home screen offers a shortcut to check vehicle details on the official Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) eServices portal (eservices.motortraffic.gov.lk). Tapping this opens the DMT website in an in-app browser tab (Chrome Custom Tabs), using your device's existing Chrome browser session.
The DMT eServices portal is owned and operated independently by the Department of Motor Traffic and is not affiliated with, or controlled by, RMV Form Filler. We do not collect, view, store, or transmit any information you enter on the DMT website — including your Google login, vehicle numbers, or search results. Because this feature reuses your device's browser session, if you're already signed in to a Google account in Chrome, that session may be used automatically when the DMT portal opens.

This app does not include advertising SDKs, analytics libraries, or any other third-party tracking tools. We do not track how you use the app, what screens you visit, or your behavior beyond what's described above (an anonymous generation count, used only to enforce the free-generation limit).
All communication between the app and our server is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Server infrastructure is hosted on Google Cloud / Firebase, and access to it is restricted to systems needed to operate the app.
Your finance company details, saved locally, can be removed at any time by clearing the app's data (Android Settings → Apps → RMV Form Filler → Storage → Clear Data) or by uninstalling the app entirely. The anonymous installation ID and generation count described above are not personally identifiable, but if you'd like us to remove a specific record, contact us at the email below with your installation's details and we'll do so.
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
