Starting with version 4.1, you must sign in with a Google account to use RMV Form Filler, in both the Android app and the web portal at www.rmvfiller.app. This replaced the earlier anonymous, no-sign-in version of the app.
When you sign in, we receive and store your email address, display name, and a unique account identifier tied to your Google account, but distinct from it. We do not receive or store your Google account password, and we cannot access your Gmail, Drive, or any other Google service — sign-in only confirms who you are.
Signing in is required because it's what makes a single Pro subscription work across both the Android app and the web portal: the subscription status described below is tied to your account, not to a single device or app install.
To fill in RMV vehicle transfer forms (M.T.A. 6, M.T.A. 8, and M.T.A. 3), you enter:
The information above is sent — encrypted in transit (HTTPS) — to our servers, whose only job is to fill your PDF form and confirm your subscription status, then send the finished PDF back to your device or browser.
We do not store the form details you send. Our servers do not save your name, address, NIC number, vehicle number, or any other field you type — that information is used only for the moment it takes to generate your PDF, then discarded. We do not keep a copy of the generated PDF either; once it's sent back to you, we have no further copy of it. This is the same on the web portal as in the app.
Your finance company details you save still live only in local storage — on your device for the app, or in your browser for the web portal — the same as before. They're sent to our servers as part of each request so your PDF can be filled, but they are not stored there.
Beyond your account record described above, we store:
Subscribing — to any of the Leasing (LKR 299/month), Individual (LKR 99/month), or Pro (LKR 500/month) tiers — is handled entirely by Google Play Billing in the Android app. The app and our servers never see or store your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.), which Google handles directly under Google's own Privacy Policy. The web portal does not process payments at all — subscribing only ever happens in the Android app.
To confirm a subscription is genuinely active, the app securely verifies your purchase directly with Google, and — for the Pro tier — updates the subscription-status record described above, so your web portal access stays in sync automatically.
The web portal is available only to Pro subscribers. After signing in with the same Google account you used to subscribe in the app, the portal checks your subscription-status record (described above) to confirm access — it does not ask you to pay or enter any payment details itself. Form generation on the web portal works the same way as in the app: your entered details are used only to produce your PDF, then discarded.
Requests from the Android app include a verification signal confirming the request comes from an authentic, unmodified copy of the app — this doesn't identify you personally, it verifies the app itself. Requests from the web portal are authenticated using your signed-in Google identity instead, confirming the request genuinely comes from your signed-in account.
Once we send the completed PDF back to you, it's saved or shared using your device's or browser's own file and share features — based on where you choose to send it. Beyond generating it and sending it back to you, we do not upload, publish, or retain a copy of any generated PDF ourselves.
The app's home screen offers a shortcut to check vehicle details on the official Department of Motor Traffic (DMT) eServices portal (eservices.motortraffic.gov.lk). Tapping this opens the DMT website in an in-app browser tab, using your device's existing Chrome browser session.
The DMT eServices portal is owned and operated independently by the Department of Motor Traffic and is not affiliated with, or controlled by, RMV Form Filler. We do not collect, view, store, or transmit any information you enter on the DMT website — including your Google login, vehicle numbers, or search results. Because this feature reuses your device's browser session, if you're already signed in to a Google account in Chrome, that session may be used automatically when the DMT portal opens.

The app and web portal do not include advertising SDKs, analytics libraries, or any other third-party tracking tools. We do not track how you use the app or website, what screens you visit, or your behavior beyond what's described above (your account identity, subscription status, and an anonymous generation count).
All communication between the app or portal and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS). Your subscription-status record is protected so that only your own signed-in account can read it — no other user, however they authenticate, can read or write it, and it can only ever be updated by our own systems, never directly by any app, browser, or user.
Your finance company details, saved locally, can be removed at any time by clearing the app's data (Android Settings → Apps → RMV Form Filler → Storage → Clear Data) or your browser's site data for www.rmvfiller.app, or by uninstalling the app entirely.
To delete your account entirely — your sign-in record, subscription-status record, and generation count — contact us at the email below and we'll remove them. This won't affect or cancel an active Google Play subscription; that's managed separately through your Google Play account.
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top of this page will change. Continued use of the app or web portal after an update means you accept the revised policy.
